My Brother-in-Law's 70th birthday card...

Well - Bob and I went out to his beloved big brother's birthday dinner in Lawrenceville NJ and it was wonderful...so good to see the family...and my sister-in-law Ann does everything top notch so every little detail was seen to and absolutely splendid- really she has impeccable taste to die for...so I made a special card for Richard...I used retired US Stampin' Up! stamps, but my demo sisters in other countries may have these available to them...I apologize for the picture not being the best...gotta work on that...but IRL the card was fab...my DH even said so so that is certainly saying something...I used classic convertibles and the saying from the classic truck set, and the flannel plaid BG stamp...I used water color paper for both saying and main image, water colored with my aqua painters, 2 red bold bright buttons with linen thread and some red plaid ribbon. I backed the buttons with 3/4 inch punches of black paper which I think made them pop...all in all...I really liked it!!

Soon it will be CANDY TIME!!

Just a lil note to mention that in approximately 350 more hits on my site...my counter will be over 10K....and I think that calls for a Blog Candy....so check back often to see if I clicked over in numbers and have the candy up for offering....should be a very very good one!!! LOL Yeah!!!

My first card from my Dazzling Demo Secret Sister

This is the first card that I received from my secret sis in round #13...I missed playing in the last two rounds and really missed the surprises that come from your sis...and it is hard for me to remember (think I need me some hormone therapy!!) NOT to post what I make for MY lil sis...cuz if she sees my blog she would know it was me! DUH! Anyway - this card is made using the Pink Pirouette paper and the Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper (DSP)...she used the Upsy Daisy set (one of my fav's!) and cut out the images using the Big Shot and the Top Note die...great card all around! Thanks sis!!

My Valentine's Day Anniversary Card

So here is the card I made my honey for our Valentine's day 16th wedding anniversary...I tell ya, its easier to make than to find a card that says both!! I can't believe its been 16 years...why it seems like only yesterday we were driving to the church in the blizzard the day before the wedding...and then again...its seems like FOREVER!!! LOL The card actually looks better IRL - its the lighting and the angle of the pic...sorry!

Just a showing of November's Stamp-a-Stack

The November Stamp-a-stack was run a little differently...I use my Girls' Night Out to offer many different options of crafting, creating and fun, because at this time (until May) I am diligently working on my doctorate (do you hear the LOUD ticking of that clock?!?!) and am not able to offer specific classes as well as my GNO (other than scheduled workshop/parties). SO - that being said, for this SAS, we made 6 DIFFERENT 3X3 cards, all made using our punches, which I cased from other demo's from one of my demo list-serves ( will be back later to give credit to the fab ladies who share their work with others!). We also made 5 Christmas cards and 4 gift bags. Thus - as always - there were 15 items to go home with. We had a good time creating too! I ran this two nights since the weather was uncooperative and some people are closer than others, to my home....and I know Michelle, LuAnn and I had a great time together that one cold night!! Enjoy....I thought these were stinkin' cute!!

January 2009 Girls' Night Out

Still working on that dang doctorate...slow but sure and totally in the home stretch now...however, tell that to my poor wee aching head and mojo....so I look to my demo sistahs who share their creativity...These 3 beauties were CASE'd from fellow demonstrators - and when I do each card individually later on - I will tell you who the talented demo sisters are...but see what y'all missed? So come on by this month for the GNO, where you can participate in the Stamp-a-stack!!

ADDED: The pink butterfly was CASE'd from Carol Payne, the green floral from Heather Mahood, and the Valentine card was CASE'd and adjusted by me from Patti Chesky. All three are demonstrators and had these cards posted on our Demo website. Thank you girls!!

Sharing a Princess' Birthday!

Well, our little Aryn, the second youngest grandchild, was 3 this past December, and she wanted "Princess stuff". So I had to make her a Princess card, right? I used a retired SU! set and Designer Series Paper, but I thought I would post it becasue some of my SU! sisters in other countries may have these current now. I really loved this paper because this Tempting Turquoise paper is a favorite color of mine...Sorry the picture is a li l blurry, but this is from my phone since I forgot my camera...duh!
