Goodbye my friend...

For those of you who have come to my craft room on Girls' Nite Out, you have met my boy Scruffy.  I am sad to say that the moves over the last year, as well as age, caused him to slide down hill healthwise, and on July 2nd, I had to put my beloved to sleep.  Poor guy couldn't walk any more and was falling over, besides other issues.  That was the hardest thing I ever had to do.  I still cry, and miss him like mad.  He always sat next to me no matter where I was in the house, but he especially liked me crafting.  I had him for almost 17 years (he was 16+) as I got him as a wee pup.  A long time devoted companion who was with me through thick and thin.  Rest in peace my love!

You KNOW how hard it is to critique?!?!?!

Just a little look at my boy! He is VERY involved with Stampin' Up! He is my most severe critic! But who wouldn't want attention from him??? LOL

A Man Card!!!

So here is a card I did for my son-in-law for his birthday this past fall....told you I didn't stop stamping...I just had to make sure I remembered to take a photo before giving it to him at his party! LOL Hope you like it!

Just wanted to put in some pics of the major snow fall of 2010 - my house looks so pretty!

And I learned how to use the snow blower...then I took the Scruff-man out for a walk...since he has to walk the street or sidewalk since the snow was up over his lil' belly! I don't know if you can tell, but the snow on the sides are the same height as his head...poor lil' man! He was so funny in the snow...

Guess what my Christmas card is going to consist of this year!!!???!!!

Check out this former Christmas card I sent - way back like '97 to '99 ... At that time I didn't have Scruffy's ears cut close, so all the hair was too heavy for his delicate ears to have them pop up like a normal Yorkie....and look at him...he is always saying, "Mom - get this crazy stuff off me!!" Why? Cuz he has coats, boots, costumes, shirts, sweaters....I think you get a little MORE nutty when you go from BIG dogs to SMALL dogs....Anyway....NEXT check out the stamp I just found in Michael's.....How PERFECT is THAT??!?!?!?!?!?!?

Bob's Fathers Day Card from Scruffy...LOL

So by now you must realize that I ADORE, LOVE, CRAVE the use of this set. Crazy I know - for some reason it just cracks me up!!! So - this was my version of Scruffy's card to his Daddy for Father's Day. I just hope y'all get WHAT the lil dots are for - "Lucy" had to 'splain to "Ricky" the card - LOL Took some of the hoot out of it - but all my gal pals totally got it!! Course, they are creative geniuses!!!! LOL No really they are!! I had the convention song playing "Dream Big" (doncha just love that!) - so, since I had no dream big stamp I had to use "Wish Big" - I shoulda put it more into the center but it was DOWN as I thought that.... Inside it says "... A Dream Come True" - get it? "My Dear Dad"..a Dream Come True"? Then I threw in "So glad you're my Dad" - The only other little teeny tiny glitch, if you want to call is such, is that when I put the mustache on the "Daddy thought" - he looked like Hitler! AHHHHHH!!!! I had to go with it though, because Scruffy's Daddy has had that mustache Scruffy's whole entire 12 1/2 year life!!! So - by now, you know I am absolutely crazy. I just hope y'all still love me!!! LOL Enjoy the card - makes me laugh every time I look at it ('cuz you know I took it right back - well after a week anyway on the mantel!!! LOL)

He's mad at me....boo hoo!

OK - now this has nothing to do with stamps, unless you count the fact that he is with me WHEN I stamp - always!!- but I promise I have more cards to post - but I just had to mention that Scruffy has been mad at me since Easter. Why? Cuz fuzzy wuzzy had no hair!! LOL He is FINALLY coming around and "talking" to me...he had even stopped having his evening ear scratch he was so peeved! Talk about tempremental!!!! But - he still loves me!! Isn't he dang cute anyway??!!?!?!?

OK - so he isn't stamped...

LOL My husband says I stamp everything that doesn't move, so Scruffy is lucky! Isn't my lil boy cute?! I just had to share this photo....I love doggie things and especially things that remind me of my dog...I got this when I was in Colorado visiting my girlfriend Carol who had recently moved out there...and NO it was NOT the convention! I was so excited when my daughter and I could go to convention - and we were traveling to Denver - and my girlfriend got excited until she asked me the dates...and then deflatingly said she was going to be "home" in the Lehigh Valley at that time....Anywho - Carol and Rick took me to Boulder and we were shoppin in this funky lovely artsy crafty area - and in one of the stores I found my Iron dog...He sits in the foyer at my home and I caught Scruffy looking at him the other day and actually had my camera in my hands for a change! So - my dogz iz lookin' at each utter!!! Hey Whaz UP, DAWG!!!!!!! LOL (yes I am sick- but loveable)

Just a note...

While I have been home with a stomach bug (yuck!) I have been commiserating with my puppy Scruffy (actually an 11 year old puppy!) since he has been sick since December....although he is getting better...He now eats a lil baby food with his dog meal and at times boiled rice...It is so hard when they are ill - its worse than babies! You have no idea whatsoever which part hurts and even then you don't know where what parts are on a dog...I hope they do finally do something about the company who imported the tainted food - for many of us, these pets become a major part of the family...I know my Scruffy is my little boy, and a mama's boy at that! Just ask Bob!! LOL I hope he keeps staying well...Unfortunately, I have to chase him around the yard again for another urine sample...my friend Candy says I should have Bob video it and send it in to America's Funniest Videos! Yeah - GREAT! Well, here is my boy - what a face, huh? And then the pic after that is him guarding my first order...he is very involved in anything I do...LOL...ok, now you know I am ready for the funny farm!
